The Philadelphia Senior Center
Since 1949 The Philadelphia Senior Center (PSC) has
created opportunities for older people to live healthy, active lives.
The Center, which moved to its current location on the Avenue of the Arts
at 509 S. Broad Street in 1976, is the largest in Pennsylvania, serving
over 10,000 senior citizens from throughout the Delaware Valley with information,
assistance, special programs and classes.
PSC offers over 50 different classes weekly including a variety of art
programs, workshops, and opportunities for travel and discounted theater
and concert tickets. The range of art classes includes stained glasses,
painting, drawing, and mixed media, and ceramics.
The Philadelphia Senior Center also offers home visits by social workers
