Peter Nero, who is a Grammy Award winning pianist, was honored to receive the Governor's Award in Distinguished Arts in the Fall of 1999. For the past 40 years, he has built an impressive career as a composer, Pops conductor and arranger. He has received two Grammy Awards and ten nominations and recorded 67 albums including the million-selling "Summer of '42."
