 African American United Fund
African American United Fund of Pennsylvania (BUF/PA), seeks
to improve the quality of life for African Americans across the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania.
Promoting self help and mutual aid, BUF/PA provides financial and technical
resources to non-profit organizations in Pennsylvania committed to health
and human services, arts and culture, economic development and education.
Through donations and volunteerism, BUF/PA operates as a mechanism that
re-channels and re-invests human and financial resources into communities
in order for empowerment to begin, BUF/PA also provides TA for the development
of the Uptown Theater.
