Philadelphia, PA - December 7, 2004 – 20 feet of holiday cheer will light up the Avenue of the Arts at the 6th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, December 10, 2004 at 5:30 p.m., in front of the Double Tree Hotel at Board and Locust Streets. The 20-foot high spruce, sparkling with more than 1,000 lights, will be lit by Lauren Hart of NBC 10 and Miss Pennsylvania, Victoria Bechtold, the official tree lighters for the Avenue of the Arts, Inc. (AAI) celebration.
Delight your senses with a medley of musical artists, performers, savory snacks and of course, the spectacular lighting of the AAI tree. Listen to joyous performances from Sharon Gary-Dixon accompanied by H.L. Smith, II, Ju-Taun, the Freedom Theatre Youth Choir and the cast of The Walnut Street Theatre's A Christmas Carol. In addition, the aroma of roasted chestnuts will perfume the air as spectators savor delicious apple cider, homemade cookies and roasted chestnuts, courtesy of the DoubleTree Hotel.
