Play Brawl: Benefit For Philadelphia Theatre Company

Play Brawl: Benefit For Philadelphia Theatre Company

Avenue Friend's Special Event

On Friday, May 10, 2019 at 6pm, Philadelphia Theatre Company will host the return of its exciting fundraising event: PTC’s Play Brawl! Philadelphia celebrities and business leaders will face off on the stage of the Suzanne Roberts Theatre, in a friendly competition to benefit Philadelphia Theatre Company’s season of new plays and musicals. Contenders will team up with local professional actors to recreate iconic scenes from stage and screen.

Last April, contenders David L. Cohen, John A. Fry, Glenn Gunderson, Judith von Seldeneck, Molly A. Shepard, Raheem Brock, and Tony La Russa re-enacted scenes from movies and plays like “Dead Poets Society,” ” A Few Good Men,” “Steel Magnolias,” “Jerry Maguire” and “A League of Their Own” to the delight of a full house, who voted for their favorites with donations made through a mobile app. The spirit of competition led Philadelphia Theatre Company to beat its goal and exceeded our expectations.

The evening includes a cocktail reception, a lively onstage competition, a live auction, and a celebratory afterparty.

Jump into the ring and show your support by returning the enclosed form today. Your generosity and support are deeply appreciated. See you at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre on May 10th!
