Avenue Tours : Historically Rich, Exceptionally Innovative
The Avenue of the Arts is the longest, widest, busiest street in the region and operates at both street level and underground. It unifies a wide range of different neighborhoods, and bridges both the historic and the new. Moreover the Avenue is home to over fifty of the City's most important institutions dedicated to arts and culture, education, and hospitality, while also becoming known as a place to stay, dine and shop.
While visiting the Avenue come and take some Tours at any of these 7 different venues and enjoy the beauty and history of what the Avenue of the Arts, Inc has to offer! Venues include: Macy's, Center for Architecture, Masonic Temple, City Hall, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Union League, Kimmel Center and Academy of Music.
Avenue of the Arts: Building a Sense of Place
With the generous help of Red Tettemer, AAI has developed a 3.5-minute video showcasing the vibrant energy of the Avenue of the Arts and the variety of venues, attractions, and people that find their home on the Avenue. In addition to highlighting the progress that has already been made on the Avenue in its more than 10 year history, the video reveals the work yet to be done including restoration of many important cultural landmarks on the Avenue of the Arts North.

Avenue of the Arts: A Vision, A Journey, A Legacy

After 10 years, AAI released a State of the Avenue report looking back on a decade of progress and achievement. The report highlights many defining moments on the Avenue and also outlines the journey that continues today in the 3 major areas AAI focuses on — marketing, planning and research and advocacy. This State of the Avenue report details the work we’ve accomplished and encourages us all to see the potential that lies ahead as we move on towards another successful decade.

Updated annually, this brochure is a concise guide to the Avenue of the Arts giving readers all the information they need for a night of the town. With helpful parking maps and information including restaurant guides, hotels, venue box office numbers and a public transit guide, it’s a handy reference for anyone making a visit to the Avenue.
